Bac + 2 internship: Validation and Characterization of mixed Analogue / Digital electronic circuits for serial links up to 8Gb / s
Within STMicroelectronics, the team's mission: “High Speed Interface” (HSI) is to develop very high speed data transmission and reception IPs over copper (ie SerDes IPs). These SerDes IPs are integrated into many circuits (SoCs) manufactured by STMicroelectronics. We develop SerDes IPs for consumer products SATA (up to 6Gb / s), PCI Express (up to 8Gb / s) and USB3.1 (up to 10Gb / s), specific circuits for centers data (56Gb / s and 112Gb / s) and satellite applications (up to 28Gb / s).
The team, of around thirty people based in Grenoble, includes all the skills required to bring SerDes IPs into production (specification and modeling of architectures, analog & digital design of integrated circuits, validation & electrical characterization laboratory). The Grenoble team works in close collaboration with its counterpart team based in Milan (Italy).
HSI Grenoble offers a 12-week DUT internship within its Architecture and System team on the validation and electrical characterization of SerDes IPs for PC applications up to 8Gb / s (PCIe Gen3, USB 3.1 and SATA Gen3). You will work on the implementation of test benches and the development of Python scripts for the automation of the validation and the electrical characterization of the circuit according to the parameters of use (supply voltage, temperature of use and dispersion circuit manufacturing). The development of these test benches are essential for the proper monitoring of the tests deployed during the production of circuits

STMicroelectronics wishes to continue the DUT internship by offering a 3-year apprentice engineer position for the validation and characterization of consumer IP SerDes (up to 10Gb / s) and networking (up to 112Gb / s).
You have a BAC + 2 (with wish for further study)
You have skills in:
Linux, Windows, Microsoft Office.
Electronic systems and measuring devices (oscilloscope, signal generator, power supply, etc.)
Programming: knowledge of C / C ++, python and Matlab would be a plus
You have a good team spirit, curiosity, and you are conscientious
