A leading provider of payment issuing products based in Munich is seeking an exceptional Sr DevOpe Engineer to join their expanding engineering team in Munich. Our client provides exceptional and beautiful products to both businesses – to completely manage their corporate payment solutions – and to end-users for individual personal financing.

As an experienced DevOps Engineer, you should view this role through the prism of technology and opportunity, a multifaceted role – building and maintaining configuration management environments, processes and tools within a secure environment
Automate deployments, monitoring, management and incident response and ensure platform services are optimised for performance and reliability
Develop, improve and streamline operational practices and procedures
Infuse security-focused practices into all aspects of the engineering team
Proactive monitoring of applications and infrastructure to ensure high availability of critical functions, react on events in order to restore any degradation to the platform as quickly as possible
Oversee the design and management of AWS cloud infrastructure
Maintain and enhance internal tools
Support other teams within the business with your technical expertise during the launch or integration of new platform services
A very good technical (Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics) degree from a top European university
Extensive hands-on AWS experience
Act as a champion for infrastructure-as-code
Strong Linux OS skills with multiple years of admin experience
Experience with at least one orchestration and configuration management toolsets like: Terraform
Understanding of effective security system development
Experience with configuration management and automation
Use JIRA in your day-to-day task management
The ability to solve complex problems autonomously
An adaptive nature and able to work with changing workloads
Excellent spoken and written English
