Morgan Stanley is looking for an IT Support Specialist in Paris.
The successful candidate will be required to maintain stability of all technology services and availability of all technology. This includes the PC end user environment as well as infrastructure services through the relevant London silos. Operationally, the person will need to provide end user support, liaise with global Infrastructure teams, participate in local/global IT initiatives and support IT related admin tasks.
The role requires a candidate with a proactive, ambitious and client orientated personality who is fluent in English (speaking and writing).
The candidate will work closely with the Paris IT Service Team, escalation teams, regional infrastructure teams and vendors in their day to day operational role.
There will be the possibility that the candidate will be required to work after hours, on weekends and public holidays.
Client services and support
Setup and support of basic user desktop equipment including mobile devices
Incident and Problem management: Owner of user issues including prompt, accurate ticket documentation
Develop and maintain relationships with the Business Units to understand key BU applications and requirements.
Infrastructure & Technology
Assist global silo teams to maintain local infrastructure including checkouts after changes
Assist software deployment cycles (testing, communication, deployment)
Identify chronic issues and remediate / escalate accordingly
Improve efficiency in day to day IT operations
Communicate with Vendors on outstanding issues and requirements
Support local IT initiatives/projects
Collaborate with global IT teams for knowledge and information sharing
Execute supervision routines for internal and outsourced services and action subsequent tasks
Ensuring that Client requests are dealt with in a timely and professional fashion
Ensure that standards and procedures are followed
Ensure that recognized risks are flagged / key actions taken
Other Functions and Responsibilities
Procurement and administrative tasks around hardware orders and invoices
Create/maintain local IT knowledge documentation
Advanced Microsoft platform skills
Advanced in Microsoft Office products
Advanced network skills
Understanding of mobile device setups
Familiarity with ITIL concepts (i.e. Incident Management & Problem Management)
Understanding of Agile principals
Fluency in English
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
