Reporting into the Director of Membership & Communications, Europe, the Content and Communications Manager is responsible for helping to drive and execute the communications and content for Soho House sites across the European region:
Soho House Berlin
Soho House Barcelona
Little Beach House Barcelona
Soho House Amsterdam
Soho House Istanbul
Soho Roc House
The new openings of Soho House Paris, Soho House Tel Aviv and Soho House Rome
And, including bedrooms, public outlets, and potentially Soho House Works for each site above
They will add value, and drive engagement and retention from the membership base in Europe, as well as support communication initiatives at both the local and regional level.
This role is full-time and will be based in Amsterdam.
Support membership and operational requirements with a cross-channel communication plan for Houses, restaurants, hotels and workspaces in the region; working closely with membership and site General Managers.
Work closely with the global member communications team to ensure consistent and on-brand messaging across global business touchpoints – including weekly and monthly member communications strategy and content.
Write all member-facing content required and brief digital team on updates, until regionally-owned.
Build and maintain strong media and influencer relationships from editors to junior level, across regional lifestyle, travel, food, fashion, art and design media.
Work with the local teams to compile and distribute communications reports to key stakeholders.
Oversee printed, digital collateral and on-site messaging to guests in the House and bedrooms.
Work closely with the local Heads of Membership & Communications on content for Houses, Restaurants, Hotels and Workspaces to feed into the social media content plan for the global and regional social channels.
Spend time on the floor with members answering inquiries and driving member engagement.
Leverage customer communication channels to drive awareness and conversion of Connect & Friends.
Plan and brief all email campaigns and public content for our sites to the digital communications and CRM team.
Work closely with the social media team to establish content and influencer communication strategy.
Support the Director of Membership & Communications on reasonable tasks within the job scope.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant role(s)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive; a team player who can positively and productively tackle strategic initiatives and immediate business needs, whilst putting the member and customer at the heart of what they do
A love of crafting and editing engaging copy, long and short
Highly-organised with excellent attention to detail
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
Experience and background in a hospitality or subscription business a plus
Fluency in multiple languages, with emphasis on strong writing skills in English
