In the AA business Unit, the Battery Management Systems (BMS) Segment drives the business of NXP’s leading mixed-signal battery management products for automotive and industrial markets. Together with a worldwide design team, we develop application specific standard products which integrate high performance analog functions as well as digital logic ranging up to 32 bit microcontrollers and DSPs in high voltage CMOS processes.
We are now looking for a Digital Design Architect for our Battery Management Systems Segment.
You will be in charge of leading architecture for the SoC and translate a System Specification into an IC specification & IC architecture.
Thanks to your deep system knowledge and design background, you will be able to propose an optimal architecture in term of area, power consumption and performance.
You will work closely with the system & analog architects to define an optimized mixed signal IC architecture.
You will ensure that the architecture specification is fully understood by the design Team and ready for design implementation.
You will be also in charge of the definition of the IC safety architecture that will reach our customer safety goals. You will be working in close relationship with the Safety System Architect.
To be able to fulfill your missions you will be able to rely on a strong collaboration within the Design group but also from all the other technical groups within NXP.
At least 10 years of experience in IC development.
Strong expertise in digital design or mixed signal IC.
Strong expertise in defining clocks & resets, operating modes, DFT architecture, Low power & Multi power design, communication Bus interface and complex signal Processing.
Knowledge in ISO26262 norm or equivalent.
Experience in traceability requirements of the V-cycle (DOORS NG tool or equivalent).
Experience with cross functional teams and good communication skills to operate in a global environment with multiple partners in Europe and Asia.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
Fluency in English language both oral and written.
Knowledge of the Cadence IC tools, modelling tools like Matlab or System C.
High Level Synthesis knowledge is a plus.
